GRAVIERA CRETE'S BIODAY P.D.O.

It's produced exclusively in Crete using 100% sheep's milk or a mix with Greek sheep's and goats milk. According to the experts Graviera Crete's cheese which is produced by 100% sheep's milk is the only one considered to have excellent quality.

Then it matures in special rooms, at least for three months, and this is the reason that it has a crust on its exterior. It's taste is delicate, rich, very little salty and we can often recognize flavors of dried fruits in it which have been carried over via the animal food.

It's produced in round heads cheese because in this way it matures better, whose weight vary from 3 kilos to 14 kilos. Its vivid yellow color the little holes on its surface, its excellent taste and its aroma were accepted in entire Greece and today it is considered as one of the top Greek cheeses.
